Lenou

Hi! My name is Lenou Sypaseut, and I am a Lao guy in my late 20s. I was born and grew up in a small village in Botane dristrict, Xayaboury province  in Laos. After I finishing high school in Botane district, I moved to Luang Prabang to study at Teacher Training College for four years. I commenced my education at the Luangprabang Law school in 2006. I took one year off from Law school to study English in Australia for ten months. A friend supported me to study at a language school over there.

I really enjoy studying, writing essays, I also enjoy helping other students to study by sharing my knowledge and experiences. Last summer I was selected to represent my school at the Lao national summer Course on Human Rights that was run by the United Nations from 10-23 August, 2010 in Vientiane. I learnt a lot from this experience.

I Love my Country Laos and would like to see this country develop in the right way. I believe that the best way forward for Laos is for all Lao people to become educated. I want to help others to do this as much as I can.  To achieve this goal, I decided to set up a library for local people, particularly local kids in Ban Muangna village and Punlung village.  I work hard to keep it running while studying at university myself. I think education is very important and I hope I can continue studying and get a master’s degree.
