Lenou’s library is a place where local kids come to read books and learning English. The library was founded in 2009 with the saving from my Australian dishwashing job, and It continues to operate through private donations.
I am trying to help the local Lao kids in Muangna village and Punluang village learning English by created a library and teaching English to local kids in the villages. I would like to help them to get a better education. I think it’s important that Lao people help other Lao people so I am trying to develop the library while studying myself.
Lenou’s Library is a privately funded lending library that set up myself, it’s located just outside the centre of LuangPrabang, Ban Moungna village. As many ordinary Lao people can not afford to buy books, Lenou’s Library provides a much needed service to the local community.
The library has books in Lao, Thai English and I make every effort to choose English Luanguage books that are geared to the skill level of users, who are generally beginners.
I offer English classes at the library for two hours per day from Monday to Friday, If you are in LuangPrabang or planning to come to Laos, please come to visit and help out.
